Description
NovaStar TB50 is a professional multimedia player designed for full-color LED displays, integrating media playback and LED sending/control functions into one compact device.
With a loading capacity of up to 1.3 million pixels, 2 Gigabit Ethernet outputs, 4K video decoding, HDMI input/output and flexible network connectivity, the TB50 is an excellent solution for LED digital signage, LED posters, advertising displays, retail stores and fixed LED installations.
It supports both synchronous and asynchronous operating modes, allowing the LED display to play stored content independently or display a live HDMI video source. Content and screen control can also be managed remotely through NovaStar’s network and cloud ecosystem.

4K Media Decoding
The TB50 uses a quad-core ARM A55 1.8 GHz processor and supports H.264/H.265 4K video decoding, providing sufficient processing performance for professional digital signage and commercial LED display applications.
Synchronous & Asynchronous Operation
Asynchronous Mode
The TB50 plays content stored internally without requiring a computer or external video source to remain connected. This is ideal for advertising screens, LED posters and digital signage.
Synchronous Mode
Connect an external video source through HDMI and the TB50 can automatically scale the incoming video to fit the LED display.
This dual-mode capability makes the TB50 much more flexible than a conventional asynchronous-only LED player.
Remote LED Screen Management
The TB50 allows users to publish content and control LED displays using a computer, smartphone or tablet.
When connected to the Internet, it can be used with NovaStar’s cloud-based publishing and monitoring solutions for remote LED display management—particularly useful when multiple screens are installed in different locations.
Typical Applications
LED Posters & Digital Signage
Ideal for standalone LED posters and commercial advertising displays.
Retail & Chain Stores
Publish and update advertising content across multiple store locations.
Fixed LED Displays
Suitable for shopping malls, hotels, showrooms, restaurants and corporate installations.
Outdoor Advertising Displays
A practical controller for fixed advertising screens where content needs to be updated remotely.
Smart City Applications
Suitable for lamp-post displays, information screens and distributed commercial LED displays. NovaStar specifically identifies fixed displays, lamp-post displays, chain-store displays, advertising players, retail displays, door-head displays and shelf displays among TB50 applications.
Why Choose NovaStar TB50?
The TB50 is a strong choice when you need the functionality of the Taurus platform but don’t require the 2.3-million-pixel / 4-port capacity of the TB60.
With 1.3 million pixels, 2 Gigabit outputs, 4K decoding, HDMI input, local media playback and remote management, it offers a very practical balance between performance and cost for medium-size commercial LED displays.
